Before answering the question of what is electrostatic paint, it is better to know a brief history of the emergence of this type of paint. Electrostatic paint or powder paint was first produced in the United States about 70 years ago. In the 1960s, a company in Germany succeeded in producing electrostatic paint paste by combining an “extruder” and heat, and almost simultaneously, the Shell Institute in England also invented the electrostatic method for painting using powder paints. Of course, at this time, due to high costs, the use of this type of paint and painting methods did not become widespread. Most people, companies and factories preferred to continue using polyester, hybrid and epoxy paints.
